Following DRX’s incredible series against Gen.G, the LCK’s underdog squad has finally earned a spot in the 2022 League of Legends World Championship grand finals. Although many fans are overjoyed with the outcome, there are eight people who are disappointed.
All of the tournament’s remaining perfect Pick’Ems predicted that Gen.G would reach the finals, which means that no one will receive the massive prize of every ultimate skin.
Only eight people correctly predicted that T1, JD Gaming, DRX, and Gen.G would make up the tournament’s final four teams, but the throne now stands vacant atop the Pick’Ems kingdom.
It was extremely difficult to bet against Gen.G, who appeared to be one of the best teams in the world after winning the 2022 LCK Summer Split. They had a three-headed monster with legendary jungler Peanut, veteran star Ruler, and mid lane phenom Chovy, among others.
It didn’t help that DRX hadn’t defeated Gen.G all year.
DRX, on the other hand, happened to write one of the most magical Worlds runs in recent memory. They will now face T1 in a battle between one of the League’s most storied organizations and the Cinderella story that no one saw coming.
DRX, like Gen.G, has yet to beat T1 this year, but if this Worlds has taught us anything, it’s that magic can happen anywhere and at any time.
Fans must make a difficult choice for their final Pick’Ems. Will they rally behind the greatest player of all time in the hopes that Faker can win his fourth Summoner’s Cup? Will fans finally rally behind the underdogs when the finals are held next Saturday, Nov. 5?
